Specialty Camps

One of the highlights of the TEC Experience is our Specialty Camp and Academy Program which provides our campers with an opportunity to customize part of their summer. We have geared them so that the beginner, as well as the advanced camper, will be able to learn a great deal in a fun-filled environment.

Gymnastics

We are excited to announce the return of our Gymnastics Specialty Camp this summer, led by Dana Frack, Caity Britcher, and Sanaiya Villanueva of Tumble Techs Gymnastics Academy. All three of these coaches have been involved in the gymnastics community for most of their lives, with Caity working with JOGA levels 1-4 and USAG levels 7-10, Dana focusing on JOGA levels 1-4 and USAG levels 2-4, and Sanaiya coaching USAG 2 and Pre-JOGA and serving as the main choreographer for the gyms' team routines.

During this 3-day camp, they will teach the campers new gymnastic skills, in addition to improving techniques in their current skills. This Gymnastics Camp is designed for both the beginning tumbler, as well as the higher-level gymnast.

Campers will receive 4 hours of instruction each day
Space is limited to 60 campers of all ages

Flag Football Camp

Flag Football has been a huge success at TEC and our 2-day Football Camp has been widely popular with both boys and girls. James Mayden is back at TEC for his 5th year and takes over as the Head Coach of our Football Camp. Coach Mayden has collegiate playing experience at Rice University and New Mexico Highlands University, where he also completed his MBA. Currently, he is the Passing Game Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. Coach Mayden is bringing back his brother, Jared Mayden, current Philadelphia Eagles Defensive Back. Coach Jared played collegiately at Alabama and on the professional level with the 49ers and the Eagles.

The TEC Football Camp is designed to challenge beginners through advanced players and will culminate in a 7-on-7 tournament.

Campers will receive 4 hours of instruction each day
Space is limited to 80 campers of all ages

Basketball Camp and Academy

TEC Basketball Camp

We are excited to bring Jesse Winter, Trevor Stark and Chris Coalmon from Level Up to run a long weekend of basketball this summer. Level Up is one of the fastest growing youth travel AAU basketball programs in the tri-state NY area. They offer competitive teams, camps, clinics and training for boys and girls of all ages and skill levels. One of their main missions is to focus on player and team development and to help their players reach their full potential. All of their coaches and trainers excelled at the college level as players or coaches, as well as affiliates with the Junior Knicks. Coach Jesse is the All-Time Leading Scorer at SUNY Cortland and played professionally overseas in Israel. Coach Trevor was an All-American at Hilbert College and played professionally overseas in Israel. Coach Chris was a scholarship basketball player at Robert Morris and starter at Adelphi University. These coaches will run a 3-day camp focusing on skill development such as in-game moves, on-court decision making, ball handling, shooting, defense etc. It will be a fast pace, high energy environment where the kids will be challenged to learn through competitive drills, station work, situational play and game play.

Space is limited to 90 campers of all ages

TEC Basketball Academy

In addition to Basketball Camp, the TEC basketball staff will be working with Level Up to create TEC Basketball Academy that will provide semi-private lessons throughout the summer. This program is designed for the travel level player and those that will be trying out for travel teams in the fall.

Tennis Academy

Over the last few years, tennis has become one of the more popular activities at Trail's End. As the interest has grown, we have taken steps to enhance our program to meet the needs of our campers. Our long-time Director, Monica Briceno, will once again lead our Tennis Academy. Coach Monica has spent many years teaching beginners the fundamentals of the game, as well as further developing the skills of advanced high school and college level players. This program is designed to provide our campers with consistent weekly instruction in an academy style environment.

Golf Experience

The Woodloch Springs Golf Experience is a great complement to our TEC Golf program. Under the supervision of John Pillar, Director of Golf at the Woodloch Resort, professionals will work on each camper's golf swing, including driving, chipping and putting.

TEC Amateur Golf Program - designed for the beginner/advanced beginner. This 5-lesson program will be led by the Woodloch Golf Resort and Trail's End Golf professionals. This program will be held at TEC and will culminate with a morning at Woodloch Golf Resort for on-course play.

TEC Professional Tour Program - designed for the advanced player who has some experience on a golf course. This 8-lesson program will be led by the Woodloch Golf Resort professionals. This program will begin with an evaluation day on week 1 at TEC and all subsequent lessons will take place at the Woodloch Golf Resort. These lessons will take place on the range, as well as on the Woodloch course.

Soccer Academy

The popularity of youth soccer has grown significantly over the past few years and it is amazing to see how many of our campers play soccer at the travel level at home. As a result, we are offering the Trail's End Soccer Academy, which will give campers an opportunity for semi-private (or private if requested) weekly training led by the Trail's End Soccer Director, Omar Ezat. Coach Omar currently coaches multiple travel teams on Long Island and runs private trainings for all ages. This program is designed for the travel level player and those that will be trying out for travel teams in the fall.

Baseball Academy

Based on the popularity of our baseball program, we will be introducing an academy led by Trail's End Baseball Director, Ernis Arias. Coach Arias has coached college baseball and has served as baseball coordinator in Prospects' Academies in his native Venezuela. He has also led the under 23 Peruvian National Team as a head coach and worked as the infield/hitting coach for the adult national team at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games. Coach Arias' area of expertise is rooted in player development of all ages.
