One of the highlights of the TEC Experience is our Specialty Camp and Academy Programs, which provide our campers with an opportunity to customize part of their summer. We have geared this program so that the beginner, as well as the advanced camper, will be able to learn in a fun-filled environment.
TrueGrit powered by Gridiron Partners, will be leading our first ever Girls Flag Football Camp. TrueGrit’s mission is to empower, encourage and inspire females to be fearless on and off the field through female flag football programs. This incredible program was created in the fall of 2018, when founders, Jenn Kisslinger and Katie DiChiaro, started a girls’ flag football league in their hometown of Somers, New York. What started out as a 30-player pilot league, grew successfully into a wildly popular town recreational program. With this motivation and in line with TrueGrit’s mission, Jenn and Katie set their sights on bigger accomplishments for females ages 5 and beyond. With hard work, tenacity and true grit, Katie and Jenn, with the support of the NY Giants, successfully pushed the NY Public High School Athletic Association to make girls flag football a high school varsity sport.
The TEC Girls Football Camp is an exciting new addition in 2024, and is designed to challenge beginners through advanced players, culminating with a 7-on-7 tournament.
Campers will receive 4 hours of instruction each day

Tennis has become one of the more popular activities at Trail's End. As the interest has grown, we have taken steps to enhance our program to meet the needs of our campers. Our long-time Director, Monica Briceno, will once again lead our Tennis Academy. Coach Monica, a PTR certified instructor, has spent many years teaching beginners the fundamentals of the game, as well as further developing the skills of advanced high school and college level players. Monica grew up playing and training under the direction of top instructors, including Rick Macci, Chris Everett and Nick Bollettieri. She competed at a collegiate level against some of the best women in the country.
Coach Monica has designed the TEC Academy to provide both beginner and advanced players with consistent weekly high-level instruction, on- court conditioning, and match play strategy.
The popularity of youth soccer has grown significantly over the past few years and many of our campers play soccer at the travel level at home. As a result, we are offering the Trail's End Soccer Academy, which will give campers an opportunity for semi-private (or private if requested) weekly trainings led by the Trail's End Soccer Director, Fabio Valori Cereto. Fabio played club soccer, followed by college soccer in Spain, reaching the national tournament competition.
Trail's End Baseball Director, Ernis Arias, will be leading our Baseball Academy sessions throughout the summer. Coach Arias has coached college baseball and has served as baseball coordinator in Prospects' Academies in his native country of Venezuela. He has also led the under- 23 Peruvian National Team as a head coach, and worked as the infield/hitting coach for the adult national team at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games. Coach Arias' area of expertise is rooted in player development of all ages.
We introduced our Lax Academy in 2023 and it was a huge success. This program will be led by our Lacrosse Director. With the growth of the sport across all ages, we will have semi-private (or private) sessions throughout the summer for both beginner and advanced level campers who want to work on new skills, techniques, and game fundamentals.
